2021 Palencia Syrah

Encased in a dark purple color, the nose has an umami character of balsamic vinegar with black fruits resting in the background, giving way to cherries as the wine continues to open. On the palate you will find blackberries with cocoa with firm but not overpowering tannins. A lengthy finish of what amounts to a dark chocolate and blackberry candy wraps up the experience in what is another great expression of what higher altitude Syrah can do in Washington State.
