2020 Monarcha Merlot

Inky purple with ruby edges, this Merlot has incredible fingers indicative of its higher altitude production location. Notes of cherry, strawberry, and rhubarb define a pungent nose. The fruit carries onto the palate with the notes of sour cherries, well-defined tannins, and possibly a hint of blueberry running in the background. A very approachable Merlot, but with enough muscle to last five years or more, this wine bats above its weight and cost.
